In 2026,

I've Been Exploring constellations,

how individual stories connect to form something larger

In partnership with Dress for Success, Oregon

The wall pieces are built from clothing donated to Dress for Success Oregon. Garments that have already lived full lives, held bodies, and traveled stories.

When I steamed and worked each piece into form, I was not discarding that history. I was carrying it forward.

The shapes draw from stars, constellations, and symbols of strength found across many cultures. Forms that have always pointed toward something larger than the individual. Each mandala holds the specific within the universal: one woman’s donated blazer, reconstructed as something that reaches.

Fabrics of Opportunities No.1, No.2, No.3

48” x 48” x 10”

Materials: Reclaimed garments from DFSO, plywood, reclaimed beads

Above, hundreds of felt ribbons carry the names of the donors, volunteers, and supporters who make this community possible.

Dense and overlapping, they form a canopy. Not decoration. A reminder. You are not alone in this room.

The wall pieces speak to the individual story. The ribbons speak to everything holding that story up. No transformation happens in isolation. Behind every new beginning is a network of people who showed up, gave, and believed first.

Together these two elements reflect what Dress for Success has always understood: that personal strength and community support are not separate forces. They rise together.
